New TCM truck released in Africa
Johannesburg, South AfricaCriterion Equipment has added the new FRSB-VIII reach trucks to the TCM range of forklifts it distributes in Africa.
Criterion's Gerhard Duvenhage says the reach trucks, equipped with 240Ah/6 hr battery units, can work for 11.5 hours in a specified work cycle pattern at an operating rate of 55%.
The reach trucks replace the FRSB-VII reach trucks that were discontinued in October 2010.
"The new TCM FRSB-VIII electric sit-on reach truck series, with capacities between 1.4 tons and 2.5 tons, offers reliable performance, extended run times per battery charge, enhanced safety and improved operator comfort," Duvenhage says.
AUSA expands telehandler range
Zaragoza, SpainAUSA launched two new Taurulift telehandler models at the Smopyc exhibition in Zaragoza, Spain, on 5-9 April.
According to
Access International, the machines are the compact, 1,350kg (2,976lb) payload T144H and the 3,000kg rated T307H, which will be the largest Taurulift model.
The T144H has a lifting height of 3.99 metres (13.1 feet) and a maximum load capacity of 1,350kg (2,976lbs). It can carry 550kg (1,213lbs) at a maximum outreach of 2.18 metres (7.2 feet). The T307H can carry three tonnes to a height of seven metres (30 feet) and its maximum outreach is 3.98 metres (13.1 feet) at a maximum carrying capacity of 1,000kg (2,205lbs). That is an extra one metre (3.2 feet) in lifting height and 57cm (1.9feet) outreach over its smaller brother, the T306H.
Pyroban launches new protection system
Shoeham by Sea, United KingdomPyroban has launched system6000, an ATEX-compliant materials handling equipment conversion that provides safety for forklift users in Zone 2 areas.
System6000 replaces system5000 and has new software and hardware, and infrared and pellistor gas sensing options.
An ATEX risk assessment will identify a warehouse containing flammable liquids and gases in sealed containers as a Zone 2 hazardous area in case of spillage or stock damage. ATEX is the European legal framework that controls the standards of equipment and protective systems used in explosive atmospheres.
