Konecranes receives orders from India
Visakhapatnam, IndiaKonecranes has received orders for two ship-to-shore (STS) cranes and four rubber-tyred gantry cranes (RTGs) from Indian terminal operator Visakha Container Terminal Pvt Ltd (VCTPL).
The RTGs will be delivered in the northern summer of 2011 and the STS cranes at the end of 2011 to the Visakhapatnam Port on the east coast of India.
The value of the orders was not disclosed.
VCTPL is a joint venture between DP World and United Linder Agencies of India (Pvt) Ltd. The company started operations in 2003 in the Visakhapatnam Port, one of India's major ports. VCTPL is expanding its terminal and investing in new equipment to cope with growing container traffic.
Terex Noell supplies STS to XPGCO
Xiamen, ChinaTerex Noell China has signed a contract to supply two STS cranes to Xiamen Port Holding Group Co Ltd (XPGCO). The cranes will be delivered in November and the value of the order was not disclosed.
XPGCO general manager Chen Dingyu says the company has inspected the STS cranes that Terex Noell had supplied to Xiamen Xiangyu Port and Zhangzhou Port.
"I hope that Terex Noell will carry out this contract carefully and offer us high quality STS," he says.

This is the first time for us to sign the STS contract with Xiamen Port Holding Group. We are fully confident in providing customers with cost-effective cranes."
