West Midland-based Midland Pallet Trucks has started delivering the first of 360 heavy-duty pallet trucks ordered by the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defence (MoD).

The company states the pallet trucks will each have a 2.5T load capacity and have been built to accommodate standard UK pallets. They will be specifically tailored to meet MoD specifications and will be distributed to defence sites across the UK.

Midland Pallet Trucks states the contract came with “complex technical requirements and logistical challenges” and represents one of the “most detailed and ambitious” orders the business has accepted. 

The order requires 22 deliveries by articulated vehicles, meeting strict technical requirements, down to the precise fork width, roller composition, and pallet compatibility, to complete.
