Ningbo Ruyi is expanding in North America with Xilin-Americas.

Chinese forklift maker Ningbo Ruyi Joint Stock Co Ltd is expanding its North American presence with the launch of wholesaler Xilin-Americas Material Handling Inc.

Already sold internationally, the company's Xilin forklifts have previously been distributed in North America through private branded partnerships. They have not been marketed as Xilin before.

Chu Jiang, vice president of Ningbo Ruyi, says the company is proud to offer wholesale forklifts in the North American market. The products will be branded as Xilin-Americas.

Xilin-Americas, headquartered in Elgin, Illinois, has appointed Robert Uhrig and Steve Guagliano Jr as North American business development representatives and Greg Hydes as head of North American OEM business development. The company will operate two warehouses, one in Chicago, US, and one in Toronto, Canada.

Ningbo Ruyi has manufactured equipment since 1985. It employs about 1,500 people, including 188 technicians, 77 engineers and 120 sales people. Its product line includes over 430 types of lifting equipment, including pallet trucks and manual and electric forklifts.
