 Linde's CiTi truck |
Linde Material Handling and its PR agency, Insglück from Berlin, have received the gold EVA award in the Corporate Events category for its launch event "CiTi by Linde".
Linde spokesman Ralf Dingeldein says the marketing concept for the launch of the CiTi truck was a resounding success. "The CiTi truck is a unique and unconventional product with which we are attracting completely new customers, market segments and developing new applications," Dingeldein explains.
"Naturally, this meant that, at first, things were a bit slow to get going. However, the reports from markets in which the CiTi truck has already been launched are extremely positive," he adds.
In June, Linde launched the CiTi truck, which it claims is a new model classification between hand pallet trucks and electric pallet trucks. The manufacturer claims that the truck that moves loads of up to 500kg (1,102lbs) removes the strain and stress from the operator thanks to its electric traction and lift motors, combined with a unique load and drive wheel configuration and ergonomic tiller controls. It is suitable for transporting deliveries to city centres.
The EVA awards, which have six categories, aim to establish live communication as a fixed component of brand communication. The forklift manufacturer beat Porsche and Audi with its marketing campaign.
Separately, Linde (China) has received the Fujian Quality Management Advanced Enterprise award for its "high quality management, R&D capabilities, innovation and pursuit of performance excellence". The award was presented by the Fujian Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau.
