It's that time of the year again when the Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) invites UK companies to enter their products or services for its 2010 Awards for Excellence.

FLTA chief David Ellison says the awards provide the "perfect opportunity" to draw attention to the year's best products in terms of ergonomics, safety, innovation and the environment.

"Having your application accepted by the FLTA Nominations Committee is a high honour in itself. When those working within the materials handling industry look through the shortlist of contenders, they will be left in no doubt that they are being guided to the industry's best new products and services," Ellison says.

To be eligible, products and services must have been launched from 1 October 2008 to 30 September 2009. "Launched" means the product or service was available for purchase, or the product was fitted to equipment that was available for purchase.

Application forms to nominate a product or service are available on www.fork-truck.org.uk. The closing date for nominations is 30 September 2009. Anyone involved in the supply and use of materials handling equipment or ancillary products and services is entitled to vote for Awards 2010.
