Vote to decide who takes the 'Archies' for Environment, Ergonomics, Safety and Innovation at Awards 2008.
Your votes will decide who takes the honours for environment, ergonomics, safety and innovation achievement awards at the Fork Lift Truck Association's (FLTA) Awards for Excellence 2008.

FLTA is urging everyone in the materials handling industry to vote for the 21 finalists in the four categories for its annual awards, known as the "Archies".

"Everyone from the staff of a [forklift] manufacturer or dealer, or a supplier of associated equipment and services, to those whose companies actually use forklifts" can vote, says FLTA CEO David Ellison.

He says voting for the awards is a "serious responsibility".

"Our industry depends on voters to ensure we highlight and reward the very best achievements."

Votes can only be cast using the official voting card and must reach the association by Friday, February 1, 2008. The shortlist of finalists with full details of their nominated products and voting cards can be found at www.fork-truck.org.uk/awards.

The awards ceremony is on Saturday, February 9, 2008, at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

Climate change – but this one is good Fork Talk - 6 Dec 2007 (#339) I get reflective at this time of year as the sun sets on the waning days of the past year and dawns on the hopes and anticipations of the future. I like to look at what I did well and not so well to see if I can replicate the good stuff and eliminate or improve on the bad. It appears business and industry have been doing this as well because things seem to be getting better on the safety front.
