Jungheinrich Lift Truck Corp is partnering with Hewitt Équipment Limitée to expand its presence in the Canadian forklift market.
As part of the Jungheinrich-Hewitt partnership, Montréal-headquartered Hewitt has established a new warehouse solutions group to focus on the narrow-aisle and warehouse forklift markets. The group will supply integrated solutions in Québec through Hewitt, and Hewitt subsidiary Hewitt Material Handling, in Ontario.
Hewitt vice president of materials handling Rick Leroux said the new group would distribute Jungheinrich's class 1, 2 and 3 forklifts, other brand forklifts and an array of racking systems and warehouse accessories.
"Hewitt will be the one-stop supplier for highly productive, energy and space efficient warehouse materials handling solutions," he said.
Established in 1952, Hewitt operates 14 branches in Ontario and Québec from its Montréal headquarters. Hewitt owns the subsidiaries Hewitt Material Handling, Atlantic Tractor and Equipment Ltd, Hewitt Rental Inc and Montréal Hydraulique Inc.
Montréal Hydraulique, an authorised Jungheinrich forklift dealer, was acquired by Hewitt in 2004.
