Jungheinrich Lift Truck Corp is selling its Cincinnati factory store to an Ohio-based dealership in a bid to expand its North American dealer network.
The manufacturer has clinched an agreement with Equipment Depot and will finalise the sales of its assets and the virtual relocation of its Cincinnati store in March.
Equipment Depot's network has five regional equipment dealers with 40 locations in 12 states and is owned by the Pon family.
Ed Neyer, president and CEO of Equipment Depot, says the agreement with Jungheinrich will give existing customers a broader selection of order pickers, reach trucks and other forklifts. "Their feature-rich line of turret trucks will be an exciting addition to our systems group and will boost our ability to help customers optimise the flow of material in their warehouses and distribution centres."
John Sneddon, president of Jungheinrich Lift Truck Corp, says the company is excited about this move because the business opportunities, through this new agreement, offer more than other alternative approaches. "We have a very optimistic and positive outlook for the future as we effect this transition over the next month or so."
All current customer contracts and agreements with the Jungheinrich factory store, including rental contracts, will be transferred and supported by Equipment Depot.
