Equipment Depot celebrates 85 years
Houston, TX, United States
Equipment Depot is celebrating 85 years of serving customers.
"Over the past 85 years, Equipment Depot has become a uniquely diverse and innovative company," says company president Anthony Garcia.
"We plan on celebrating our achievement by recognising the people who continue to make Equipment Depot a leader in the industry, our employees and the customers we serve every day."
Equipment Depot calculated its 85-year milestone by noting the acquisition of Southern California Material Handling (SCMH), which was founded in 1939.
Equipment Depot was known as Central Texas Clarklift until 1995, when it rebranded to its current name.
In 2000, Pon Holdings, the largest privately held company in the Netherlands, purchased Equipment Depot.
It was acquired again in 2019 by Mitsubishi Logisnext North America, which is owned by the world's third largest material handling group, Mitsubishi Logisnext.
Soon after, Equipment Depot purchased SCMH.
Konecranes rebrands
Hyvinkää, Finland
Konecranes has rolled out a new brand identity as it seeks to be seen as more than just a lifting company.
“Moves what matters” replaces Konecranes’ previous brand promise, “lifting businesses”, which was introduced in 2006.
The company logo and “C” symbol will remain.
“Be it the fruit on your table, the tissue paper in your house or the steel in your office building, chances are we have had a role in moving it safely, reliably and sustainably. We move what’s needed where it matters most, and drive change in our industry,” says Konecranes president and chief executive officer Anders Svensson.
“Our new brand promise `Konecranes moves what matters’ summarises this significant impact we are making together with our customers and other stakeholders. We truly are shaping next-generation material handling solutions for a smarter, safer and better world,” he said.
