The competition includes 10 challenge stationsBurt Nickell from St Louis-based materials handling dealer Wiese USA has taken out this year’s Mitsubishi Logisnext America's Master Technician Challenge.
Nickell beat a field of 20 finalists in a two-day challenge at Logisnext Training Centre in Houston, Texas.
The event includes 10 challenge stations designed to test the technicians’ knowledge and skill levels on a variety of material handling products.
Second place went to Joel Bregin from Ring Power Lift Trucks in Jacksonville, Florida and third place to Michael Hussey, also from Wiese USA, Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas Manager Technical Training Jason Burton says in a LinkedIn post.
Equipment Depot’s Jiram Pelayo placed eighth in the overall challenge and also gained the highest score on the Jungheinrich Order Picker skills test.
The goal of the Master Technician Challenge is to promote technician training for the Logisnext dealer network and is open to all dealer technicians who currently hold a Master Technician Certification across North and South America.
