The Material Handling Equipment division of India’s Godrej Enterprise Group (GEG) has launched the SafeLog Vehicle Monitoring System, an IoT-enabled solution which it says improves safety and operational efficiency.
GEG’s SafeLog system, the company claims, is able to reduce unplanned downtime by 10% and improve asset utilisation by 15% across warehousing and intralogistics environments.
SafeLog Vehicle Monitoring System functions in low-connectivity environments and stores data on Indian servers to comply with data security regulations.
“It enables proactive maintenance, enhances safety, and delivers measurable value to our customers,” says Anil Lingayat, business head, MHE with GEG.
“With innovations like SafeLog, we continue to support the 'Make in India' vision.”

Interfit is expanding into Sweden
French-headquartered tyre and wheel specialists for the materials handling sector, Interfit, is expanding its European presence with the acquisition of Swedish tyre provider Inge’s Däck AB.
Interfit says the acquisition marks a new chapter in its Nordic strategy, combining its global capabilities with local expertise.

Fairchild Equipment expands with new branch

Fairchild Equipment's new Minnesota branch
Material handling solutions provider Fairchild Equipment is opening a new branch in Moorhead, Minnesota which will service Fargo, Grand Forks and North Dakota.
The new branch will offer sales, rentals and service as well as forklift safety training and warehouse design.
Fairchild Equipment carries Yale, Combilift, Hyster, JCB, Bolzoni, Cascade and Motrec among its brands.
The opening of the Moorhead branch coincides with Fairchild’s 40th anniversary this year.
