Chinese forklift manufacturer Maxlion has opened its new RMB 120 million (USD16.7 million) production facility in Zhejiang province.
The 20,000sqm site is expected to have an annual production capacity of 5,000-8,000 forklifts.
Construction at the site started in July 2024 and now includes two assembly lines, a mast assembly line, one painting line, and a testing line. Maxlion says it has been designed to produce forklifts of different tonnages.
Maxlion’s product range includes 1.5-12T forklifts, 4WD rough terrain forklifts, compact telehandlers and sideloaders.
Latin American event encourages women in ports sector

Registrations open for the Women's Leadership for the Sector Maritime-Port event
Registrations are now open for the fourth Women’s Leadership for the Sector Maritime-Port event to be held in Panama, March 17 to 20.
The event is presented by the Life program, developed by PR Ports and Multimodal Consulting Firm, which works to support Latin American women in middle and managerial positions within the maritime and port sectors.
“More than 35 sponsoring companies support this proposal that is already part of the cultural and operational evolution of the sector,” organisers PR Ports state.
“Likewise, a call is made to companies, authorities and sectoral entities to promote and support female talent within their teams, actively contributing to this initiative as part of their policies of corporate social responsibility and institutional commitment to inclusive leadership.”
