The European Rental Association (ERA) has released an updated equipment carbon dioxide tracker.

The new version has calculators for handheld tools and modular space as well as the original construction equipment calculator.

ERA general secretary Michel Petitjean says: “We now have a tool that is much more comprehensive and much closer to the needs of the market that will support businesses in making more sustainable choices and in bringing down their emissions when using equipment."

The first Latin American women's leadership program for the maritime-port sector will be held in Panama from 7 - 10 August this year.

The LIFE women’s leadership program is being organised with support from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Inter-American Committee on Ports of the OAS (CIP/OAS), the International Maritime University of Panama (UMIP), the Central American Commission on Maritime Transport (COCATRAM) and the Network of Women of Maritime Authorities of Latin America (MAMLa Network).

The event is open to 30 female middle and senior managers working in the Latin American maritime-port sector.

German manufacturer of warehouse and manufacturing trucks Dimos Maschinenbau has taken out the Most Inspiring Solution in Automation category at the Transport and Logistics Middle East (TLME) Awards.

Dimos, which established a branch office in Dubai last year, has been increasingly adding automation to its machines, including the first fully automated pallet mover, Intrac.

The family-owned company is based in Petersberg and employs 105 staff, 15 of whom work in Dubai.
