VP manufacturing operations Dale MarkMaterials handling equipment producer Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas has completed a significant expansion at its Houston manufacturing site with the opening of its 73,500 sqft. (6,781sqm) electrification fabrication facility.
Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas says the new USD20 million facility is designed to meet the rising demand for its electric Class I and Class II products, including the pantograph reach truck, order picker, and stand-up counterbalance forklift.
“It is also designed to significantly enhance production capacity, streamline operations, and lower manufacturing costs to better serve evolving customer needs,” the company states.
“This milestone marks a significant step in the company's strategic initiative to grow its footprint in the rapidly expanding electric market.”
Construction started at the site in August 2023 and was completed in the northern spring of 2024. The company states the installation of advanced technologies, including powder painting and robotic welding equipment, took place through 2024, culminating in the completion of the new electrification building in 2025.
