There has been a surprising flurry of new products in the past few weeks. Surprising because we are accustomed to launches being timed to coincide with major trade shows, two of which are approaching. Modex will be held in Atlanta, Georgia in March and LogiMAT will take place in Stuttgart, Germany in May.
Perhaps the past couple of "showless" years have encouraged manufacturers to set their own agendas and release new products as and when they are ready, rather than rushing to finish them or holding them back for a major event.
Either way, equipment buyers have never had more choice - and new options just keep rolling in.
