Discussion:
Hyster J1.8XNT Hydraulic Input Error

On a Hyster J1.8XNT Serial Number K160B05516L with manual hydraulic levers we are having a problem that the machine is sensing that someone is moving the hydraulic levers before sitting on the seat even though no one is touching the levers. The screen shows the attached photos (the four arrow icon) and no error code. the machine stope and we cannot get it to work except if we turn it off and restart again. Also if we move the levers ever so slowly with minimum input the machine might work without turning it off.

What should we look for here? is it a sensor fault or a mechanical fault? Please help.

Thanks

Punch in 5 5s again. At the display press the right arrow key until you see a little man int the screen. Press the enter button, then scroll up or down until you see what is in the picture you posted. Press the enter button again to enter the calibration menu. One note, raise the carriage off the floor
Before you start the calibration. I do not know if the service password will be all 5s. I am retired, but will try and do a little research. Good Luck

Hello Garland,

Thank you for your input. There is no dealer in our country at the moment. We know the supervisor password as it comes from factory is 55555. Do you happen to know what is the standard password for Service as it comes from the Hyster factory as no one has changed the passwords on the truck.

Thanks
Ramzi

Ramzi,

Suspect the hydraulic levers need to be calibrated. Will need service password to access calibration menu. May need to call Hyster dealer. Good luck

Fact of the week
Foundling hatches are safe, anonymous drop-off points for unwanted infants, allowing parents in crisis a way to surrender a baby safely without fear of punishment, ensuring the child is rescued and cared for. The concept started in the 12th century, was abandoned in the late 19th century, then reintroduced in 1952. It has since been adopted in many countries.
