There are two striking indicators of the healthy state of play for materials handling.
The first is the strong sales and order numbers being reported by manufacturers, with more examples of positive growth this week. That's especially satisfying seeing the factories are struggling with supply chain challenges and with material shortages - and still doing well.
The second sign of positive sentiment is the current wave of mergers and acquisitions. In recent weeks, we have seen more than half a dozen such deals in various markets - most of them involving well-known, successful businesses. What's even more impressive is that these have not been classic consolidation deals. Instead, we are seeing synergistic unions that add to the capabilities, resources and markets of the individual companies involved.
