Anniversaries are special times, and this week, we note two significant milestones on two continents.
Firstly, Toyota Material Handling U.S.A. (TMHU) recently marked the 50th anniversary of the first Toyota forklift sold in the US with a special event for dealers, associates, dignitaries and media at its headquarters in Columbus, Indiana.
Interestingly, that first machine, sold to a California grape farmer, is still on display at the company's Columbus facility.
Meanwhile, China's Noblelift has marked the 10th anniversary of its European operations. Executives noted that the founding of the European branch in Germany a decade ago was "a very important strategic step", followed by another in the form of the 2010 establishment of a spare parts centre in the same country.
Congrats to both organisations and anyone else marking a significant anniversary.
