Jungheinrich's ETV 216i reach trucks reach America
Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America (MCFA), the provider of Jungheinrich forklifts and narrow-aisle products in the United States, Canada and Mexico, has announced North American availability of the Jungheinrich ETV 216i, the worlds' first reach truck with fully integrated lithium-ion battery.

Compared to conventional reach trucks, the ETV 216i achieves significantly increased productivity in the warehouse. The fully integrated lithium-ion battery features a longer service life, maintenance-free operation, and 24/7 truck availability with opportunity charging.

Integration of the battery reduces the size of the battery compartment to create more space in the operator compartment for greater comfort and excellent visibility.

"We're excited to introduce the latest innovation in lithium-ion technology to the North American market," says John Sneddon, vice president of sales and marketing at MCFA. "The new Jungheinrich ETV 216i moving mast reach truck truly demonstrates Jungheinrich's commitment to innovation. The first of its kind, the fully integrated lithium-ion battery makes the ETV 216i the most agile and best-performing reach truck in its class - offering customers improved manoeuvrability, greater efficiency and even longer run times."

The ETV 216i was named as the 2019 IFOY Award winner for most innovative product in the Warehouse Truck category.

It’s the year 2000. You’re in front of a boxy beige desktop waiting for the screeching ramblings of your dial-up to reach its finale. You go to Yahoo!, MSN, or maybe AOL, and start the mind-numbing process of finding your very specific needle in the digital haystack. And with web pages loading one image at a time, patience isn’t just a virtue – it’s a requirement!

As clumsy as this early iteration seems now, this technology was the great enabler that allowed Forkliftaction to connect to the industry across the globe.

To everyone who has connected with Forkliftaction in the past 25 years, thank you for your contribution to our success! We feel deeply touched by your words of encouragement.
