 Adaptalift has bought Budget |
Adaptalift Group has announced its acquisition of Budget Forklifts.
Details of the purchase price were not revealed for the deal which closed on 4 September, 2017.
Budget Forklifts was established in 1968 and is the Yale dealer in Western Australia and Queensland.
Adaptalift Group will continue to operate Budget Forklifts as a Yale dealership in the existing territories.
Budget Forklifts has over 1,200 assets in its fleet and its customer base includes some of Australia's best-known companies, according to the new owner.
"Importantly, Budget Forklifts brings an increased footprint to the states of Western Australia and Queensland where our joint operations will have significant scale," says an Adaptalift spokesman. "Budget Forklifts' business is complementary to our current rental, service and parts operations and we share a common operating platform.
"Adaptalift Group is excited to have acquired Budget Forklifts, increasing product and service offerings and delivering even greater customer value," he says.
Founded in 1982, Adaptalift started as Forklift Engineering Australia, designing and manufacturing forklift attachments.
It has grown rapidly to a fleet of over 10,500 units nationwide. It is closely associated with the Hyster brand, but also sells Combilift and Aisle-Master materials handling equipment.
