Bolzoni acquires Valmar Special Equipment

Italian forklift attachment manufacturer Bolzoni has acquired Valmar Special Equipment, a manufacturer of masts for forklift and automated guided vehicles (AGVs), allowing Bolzoni to expand its offering to include forklift masts and specialised equipment.

Located in Italy’s Piacenza, Valmar Special Equipment has 30 years’ experience in materials handling and, Bolzoni states, is “an important player in the lift truck mast market” focusing on dedicated products for AGVs.

“Valmar is a strong partner for numerous forklift and AGV manufacturers and will take advantage of the worldwide sales organisation of Bolzoni to further expand its business,” Bolzoni states, adding the integration of Valmar’s offerings will streamline its supply chain process.

Bolzoni CEO, Marco Rossi, says the acquisition strengthens its positions in Europe and globally.

“[The acquisition] allows us to enter in a new sector closely related to our main market of materials handling,” Rossi adds. “Valmar represents a great opportunity for Bolzoni to expand its range of products covering the front-end of conventional forklifts and AGVs, which have increased in volume and applications in recent years.”

Bolzoni manufactures forklift attachments, forks and lift tables with manufacturing facilities in Italy, Germany, Finland, China, Brazil and the United States.
