 An Ottawa T2 |
Kalmar will deliver 60 Kalmar Ottawa T2 off-highway terminal tractors to Rail Management Services in the USA. The order was booked into Cargotec's 2015 third quarter order intake and the deliveries will run into early 2016.
Ed Morgenthaler, vice president of Rail Management Services, says his company provides quality service to railroads and wants to ensure the safety of its employees and the environment. "We chose Kalmar Ottawa terminal tractors because of their consistent reliability, availability of original parts as well as their competitive pricing. The T2's galvanised chassis meets the tough load demands in our terminals and provides more strength, better protection and less maintenance to the equipment."
Rail Management Services operates in 38 rail terminals throughout the USA. The company has purchased 160 Kalmar Ottawa units over the past three years, including the latest order of 60 terminal tractors.
Tom Spizzirri, regional sales manager, Mobile Equipment, Kalmar Americas, is happy that Rail Management Services again chose Kalmar. "The reliable, driver-focused design, ergonomic cabin, improved powertrain efficiency and modular construction of the Kalmar Ottawa T2 terminal tractors enable our customers to achieve optimised operational performance and reduced lifetime cost of ownership for their equipment," he notes.
Kalmar Ottawa T2 terminal tractors boast superior durability, operator comfort, service ease and the latest generation engines.
Kalmar has sold over 2,500 Kalmar Ottawa T2s since their introduction to the market in 2014.
