This week marks the 15th year of continuous publication for Forkliftaction.com News.

The first newsletter was emailed on July 7, 2000 to just 50 subscribers - a far cry from this week's edition which will go to 62,000-plus recipients.

General manager Ann Hofmans says that 15 years of free independent news publishing is a significant achievement: "We have seen competitors come and go, but we have stuck to what we do well and built a credible news offering, augmented by special features, guest blogs and valuable columns - all offering independent information from around the globe."

Editor Allan Leibowitz stresses that unlike so much of the trade press which is dominated by paid editorial, much of Forkliftaction.com's content comes from its audience.

"Besides first-hand information from reporters and key industry suppliers and associations, we get tips and news leads from our readers. Sometimes, they aren't even aware of the significance of their information, but in a world where we are often swamped with emails and spam, it's important to have a platform like ours that sorts the important facts from the sea of useless communication.

"We always welcome news tips - from OEMs, dealers, consultants and advisers and, of course, end-users like fleet managers and forklift operators.

"There are many ways of submitting your 'news', but really all it takes is a simple email with the key facts, and our editorial team will chase up the rest," he adds.

This week's newsletter brings the total number of stories published by Forkliftaction.com to over 7,500 and Hofmans explains that several exciting enhancements are in the pipeline, all of which are aimed at offering readers more variety, more focus and more flexibility.

Words of support …

After advertising with Forkliftaction.com, we got many enquiries regarding interest to be our distributor. Mostly from Europe and USA but including a few in ASEAN. We feel that the advertisement was useful and good for market expansion.
