 Pekka Lundmark |
Hyvinkää, FinlandKonecranes president and CEO
Pekka Lundmark is leaving the Finnish equipment manufacturer to pursue other opportunities. Lundmark will leave the company in early September 2015 after the release of the January-June interim report. The company has started looking for his replacement.
Konecranes plc board chairman Stig Gustavson says: "We were naturally saddened on learning about Pekka Lundmark´s new career moves and his decision to leave us. Lundmark has led our group through both calm and stormy waters with great success. Lundmark´s 10 years at the helm of Konecranes will be a brightly shining part of his CV."
Lundmark says: "Leaving Konecranes was not an easy decision since I truly love this company. I believe we are well positioned to take advantage of the world megatrends such as digitalisation and resource scarcity ... However, 10 years is a long time for a CEO and, for this reason, I feel this is a good time to move on with my career."
