Today, the retreaded OTR/EM tyres represent the most appropriate response for use on construction sites, or in mines, quarries, and ports, in terms of both efficiency and cost effectiveness. Furthermore, they are a source of health for the environment.

Since the start of its activity, Marangoni has understood the great advantages of retreads, both for the end user and for the environment. Over the years, Marangoni has invested human, technical and financial resources, in the pursuit of excellence in the entire retread production process. The compounds, technologies and machinery used to produce the Marangoni tyres were designed, tested and updated internally at the group's Research and Development Centre. The extensive range of retreaded tyres, which are produced at the Rovereto plant under the Marix brand name, represents the synthesis of the intense work done in terms of development, which is carried out in the laboratory, production and fieldwork, while aiming to better satisfy our clients' needs.

For many years now, Marangoni has also been successfully retreading tyres for container handling machinery used in the industrial/port sectors. The growing demand for products of certified quality and high reliability, the need for continuous improvements in machinery efficiency, and the focus on reducing operating costs make this sector of special interest to Marangoni that, exploiting its technological know-how and its extensive experience in tyre retreading, has developed a range of retreads specifically designed for industrial machinery used to handle materials and containers in ports and logistics hubs.

The result is Marix product line, a wide range of tyres: 25 products available in various sizes, from 12.00x24 to 21.00x35. The range features different tread profiles for different applications: from patterns with extra siping to ensure better traction to smoother profiles for greater strength and longer life. These tyres have been developed using a specific industrial compound that guarantees excellent resistance to abrasion, combined with low heat generation.

By adopting a high-quality retreading process, Marangoni has succeeded in ensuring performance levels that are equivalent to those of premium-brand new tyres, offering products with excellent technology and quality that guarantee considerable reductions in hourly costs and represent the best possible response to the need for efficiency and cost savings among companies operating in the sector.

In addition, the quality guaranteed by Marix tyres and the service provided throughout the tyre life cycle, from first use to retreading, mean that retreads can also be used on industrial machinery, where reliability and safety are fundamental aspects. The quality of Marix tyres ensures excellent performance in terms of stability and travel speed, without in any way compromising on reliability and consequently operating safety.

Keeping down hourly costs also means being able to assist users in choosing the right tyres, providing suggestions on the most suitable product for each specific use, on what vehicles and axles the retreads can be fitted on, and on how to correctly use the tyres throughout their life cycle.

Marangoni technical personnel assist customers not only with specific consulting on how to maximise the benefits related to the use of the most suitable tyres and the correct mix of retreads and new tyres, but also by constantly monitoring performance of the vehicle and maximising tyre life by checking pressure and correct tyre rotation, preventing accidental knocks and implementing scheduled maintenance.

This important challenge is the result of the teamwork performed by Marangoni's professionals operating in different fields: research and development, technical service, production, product marketing and sales.

100% of the Marix retreads are produced by Marangoni in Italy, in the Rovereto facility, that has been awarded with the ISO 14001 environmental certification and where - among other things - the group's entire R&D department is based.

In this centre Marangoni also offers training programmes to its customers, with specific courses on knowledge of OTR/EM tyres, applications and maintenance to optimise performance. Marangoni also offers its customers training and consulting on how to test casings or to repair tyres.

Marix retreaded earthmover tyres have been successfully used for many years now in the main European markets and are sold through a network of specialists, able to offer a complete and extremely competent service to the user.

Marangoni, thanks to its technical standards of production and to the use of high quality materials, offers a 5- year guarantee that covers retreaded earth-moving tyres against any fault that may be attributed either to the manufacturing process or to the quality of the materials.
