Al Hashar will offer the Oman market Tailift's forklift solutions.

Al Hashar & Company launched Tailift forklifts to the Oman market at its Muttrah showroom last week.

With models ranging in capacity from 1.5 to 10 T and powered by internal combustion engines and electric motors, Al Hashar will offer the Oman market customised solutions and meet the varied forklift requirements across different sectors.

Tailift forklifts won the 2011 Taiwan Excellence Award organised by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council and commissioned by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (Forkliftaction.com News #553), and are sold in over 50 countries. About 80% of the forklifts are exported to Western Europe and the USA.

The forklifts will be supported by Al Hashar's service centres located in Azaiba, Sohar, Ibri, Sur and Salalah, and parts outlets in Ruwi, Mabella and Nizwa.

MB Shankar, group general manager of the Al Hashar Group of Companies, told the Muscat Daily: ''We have been operating for several decades with offices across the sultanate. In line with the philosophy of offering a better choice of products and services to customers, we have launched a new range of forklift trucks by a Taiwan firm.

''We have already delivered three trucks to customers in Sohar, and more orders are in the pipeline.''

Separately, International Heavy Equipment (IHE) LLC, part of the Zubair Automotive Group, has added Jungheinrich forklifts to its product portfolio in Oman.

IHE general manager Ram Mohan says the company is proud to introduce the European brand to its customers.
