Diesel-powered pneumatic-tyred Heli forklift

Heli Americas moved its distribution centre 12 mi. (19.3 km) to the same building as its corporate offices and equity partner in Memphis.

"We had been leasing warehouse space for the distribution centre," says Bruce Pelynio, president and chief executive officer of Heli Americas, the forklift division of Sunshine Enterprise Inc.

Dealers for the equipment distributor handle forklift products of Anhui Heli Co Ltd of Hefei, China in 31 US states. Southwest Equipment Sales of Denver, Colorado represents the Heli brand in the other 19 US states. Pelynio and others attended an Anhui Heli sales conference in China in late November.

"(Heli Americas) had a good 2013, and we expect to bear lots of fruit in 2014," Pelynio reports. "We see a window of opportunity for us to add dealers."

Forklift industry veteran Pelynio and Dobbs Management Services of Memphis established Dobbs Imports LLC doing business as Heli Americas in January 2007.

Memphis-based Sunshine Enterprise joined Heli Americas as an equity partner in May 2009 and purchased a controlling interest in the business in January 2010. Wei Chen is the founder and CEO of Sunshine Enterprise.
