TVH employees support De Branding
Waregem, BelgiumTVH organised a breakfast event last week at its company restaurant to raise money for the purchase of a pool lift for disabled service centre De Branding.
The event was held in collaboration with WAAK, a sister company of De Branding, which holds sheltered housing workshops. WAAK also served a breakfast on that day. TVH organised its breakfasts at its offices in Waregem and Gullegem.
De Branding has multiple locations in Courtrai, Heule and Kuurne. Besides sheltered housing, the institution also provides daytime activities for disabled people.
Hyster manufactures last of forklifts
Fleet, United KingdomHyster has announced that after more than 25 years in production, it has manufactured the last of its XL 24 v three-wheel electric trucks.
The A1.00-1.50XL was unique because every aspect of design, development and testing was carried out in Scotland, nearly 5,000 mi. (8,047 km) away from their global development centre in Portland, USA.
The original design has been replaced by the next generation series of A1.3-1.5XNT, 24 v compact, rear-wheel drive truck.
Last December, the "last truck" was shipped from Craigavon, Ireland to Luxembourg. More than 16,000 of the trucks were produced in the company's history.
Briggs nominated for prestigious award
Cannock, United KingdomBriggs Equipment's new customer experience centre has been nominated in the Warehouse and Materials Handling category at the Annual Awards for Excellence 2012 organised by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT).
Based at the firm's Cannock headquarters, the 'Phoenix Suite' showcases what Briggs offers its customers. A 3D warehouse simulator, at the heart of the Phoenix Suite, helps customers develop the most practical and efficient layout for their warehouses.
The CILT Annual Awards for Excellence 2012 will be held on 18 October at the London Marriot Hotel Grosvenor Square.
