Noblelift's Future Factory work continuesNoblelift Intelligent Equipment has given an update on construction of its Future Factory in Shanghai on the one year anniversary of the groundbreaking ceremony at the 1630,000sqm site.
Noblelift, one of the largest forklift manufacturers in the world, says construction of the site is progressing faster than expected with production now scheduled to begin in Q4 2025.
When complete, the factory will have the capacity to produce 50,000 units of intelligent logistics equipment, primarily forklifts, annually.
The Shanghai site, which will include both the headquarters for Noblelift as well as a very large manufacturing facility, is backed by a RMB 1.175 billion (USD160,655,987) investment.
Once completed, the Shanghai facility will boast 462,000sqm of production facilities and supporting infrastructure.
Xu Weiqi, director of engineering at Noblelift, says: “We are ramping up construction resources to ensure [construction] stays on track and meets our ambitious objectives”.
When completed, the facility will feature intelligent production lines powered by advanced technologies such as laser cutting machines, CNC tools, and industrial robots. It will also have digital systems, including the Future Factory System Management Platform, enabling end-to-end data interoperability across the supply chain, production, R&D, sales, and service.
Noblelift says its Future Factory “is a next-generation manufacturing hub driven by technologies such as digital twins, IoT, big data, AI, and the industrial internet".
“It supports digital design, smart manufacturing, intelligent operations, cross-functional collaboration, sustainable practices, and secure management, significantly enhancing productivity and environmental performance,” the company states.
