Gloucestershire-based Golden Valley Pallet Wrap Specialists Ltd (GVPS) has opened a new warehouse and national distribution centre to meet increased demand for its range of pallet-wrapping film and machinery solutions.

"We receive deliveries of pallet wrap film from suppliers all over the world and as part of our service commitment to our clients, we aim to fulfill orders within 24 hours," says managing director Suzanne Griffiths. "This means we need to hold extensive stocks."

The new facility, which is next to the company's existing site in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, will allow GVPS to hold over GBP1.2 million (USD1.9 million) of product.

GVPS has grown significantly since it was established in 2009. Its turnover for the year ended 31 May 2012 was GBP7.5 million (USD11.8 million) (Forkliftaction.com News #570). The company was recently awarded British Retail Consortium Certification for its range of packaging film and machinery.
