Crown Equipment Corp has opened its first company-owned operation in Brazil.

The operation has a showroom and warehouse in a new 3,300 sqm (35,000 sqft.) facility in the Anhanguera Logistics Centre in Jundiaí in the Brazilian state of São Paulo and functions as Crown Lift Trucks Commercial Ltd.

"Our customers are strategically entering this growing market, and it's important that we're there with them," says Jim Dicke III, president of Crown Equipment. "The corresponding volume of goods distributed in Brazil means opportunity for Crown products and services, and we are positioned to serve our customers with our award-winning product line and trusted support programs."

Jundiaí is about 60 km (36 mi.) north of the city of São Paulo and strategically positioned to serve the growing region.

Based in New Bremen, Ohio, United States, Crown opened its first company-owned branch location and administrative office in Spain earlier in 2012.

Materials handling equipment maker Crown operates more than 70 company-owned retail operations with more than 300 independent dealers and distributors worldwide.
