Briggs spokesman Mark Murfet says: "The Phoenix Suite helps us to advise on the right solutions and at the heart of it is Yale's 3D simulation chair and software that develops the most practical and efficient layout for customers' facilities as well as scenario testing for new-build or redeveloped warehouses."
TVH among recognised firms
Waregem, BelgiumTVH has received the West-Flemish Charter for Corporate Sustainability for the third consecutive year.
The jury which awarded the certificates recognised the company's initiatives that included social activities organised for work-recreation balance, non-ageism in recruitment, training for managers, workplace risk analyses and the renovation of a building housing the electronics department into a low-energy facility.
New IT development for Olympics
Burton-upon-Trent, United KingdomAs part of Palletforce's flagship Alliance IT system, specialists are working on an IT development to help manage the network's deliveries in and out of London during the Olympic Games.
The development will inform Palletforce's 100 UK depots on the restrictions operating during the games and help them decide on the best ways to manage and route deliveries.
Dean Hughes, IT director for Palletforce, says "road layout alterations, diversions, parking and loading restrictions, special games lanes and extra security measures" will impact the transport network.
