Columbus, IN, United StatesBrett Wood, the president and CEO of Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA), was recently appointed to senior executive officer of TMHNA's parent company,
Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO). Wood becomes the only non-Japanese TICO executive.
Wood, a 31-year veteran of Toyota, will maintain his current responsibilities at TMHNA in addition to his new role as an officer of TICO.
Wood began his materials handling career at Toyota in 1989 as an entry-level engineer and has held many leadership positions within the company in the three-plus decades since then. As president and CEO of TMHNA, Wood oversees two main group companies - Toyota Material Handling (TMH) in Columbus, Indiana, and The Raymond Corporation in Greene, New York.
Wood's appointment to TICO senior executive officer makes him the 12th highest-ranking executive in the global company.

TVH in the Americas has appointed Karl Benemann as the assistant general manager for TVH Parts Mexico.
In this role, he will be responsible for sales and operations for TVH Mexico. He will also oversee human resources, technical information services, claims and telematics.
Benemann will continue to grow sales for TVH Mexico, as well as enhance the customer experience. With over 20 years of sales experience and sales consulting under his belt, he will be a strong leader for the company.
His past experience includes almost 20 years with food and confection giant Mars.
