Alton, United KingdomPeter Harvey MBE has been appointed the new chief executive of the Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA). He succeeds David Ellison, who has retired after more than a decade of service. Harvey starts with FLTA after completing a 37-year career with the British Army.
FLTA chairman Martyn Fletcher says Peter is an "exceptional communicator, who brings with him a wealth of experience in management, planning and policy".
"He has, in David, a very tough act to follow, but I am certain Peter will play a pivotal role in the development of the FLTA and the entire forklift industry," Fletcher adds.
David Ellison has been CEO of the FLTA since 2001.
Ames, IA, United StatesEric Alström has been appointed president, CEO and director of Sauer-Danfoss, effective 5 October. He succeeds Sven Ruder who has announced his resignation. Ruder has worked for Danfoss Group for the past 22 years, including the last four years with Sauer-Danfoss. Alström has 20 years' experience in the automotive industry, most recently as managing director at Benteler Automotive, a privately held German company specialising in lightweight chassis and parts. Before that, he held senior leadership positions at General Motors in the US, Asia and Europe.
Alström will join Sauer-Danfoss on 10 September as co-president and co-CEO, and will be located in Neumünster, Germany. In September, he and Ruder will travel together, meeting employees and customers worldwide.
