The Ukraine continues to receive aid from the Lithuanian government, most recently with the donation of forklift systems and tractor trucks among a donation of weapons and other items announced during a visit to the war-torn country by Lithuanian Defence Minister Laurynas Kasciunas.
During talks in Kyiv with Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Kasciunas reaffirmed Lithuiania’s commitment to supporting Ukraine when he said: “it is a matter for our own security”.
The forklifts will be central to handling the large volumes of goods being moved to reach defence forces.
Meanwhile, the Plant and Hire Aid Alliance continues to raise funds for Ukraine.
The UK-based alliance of like-minded companies in the plant and plant hire industry continues to provide aid and raise public awareness about the hardships that have been inflicted on millions of Ukrainian families.
