North Orlando-based Jamco Inc has been appointed as an authorised dealer for JLG Industries for Central and North Florida.

Jamco will distribute JLG's aerial lifts and access equipment, which vice president Tim Jamal describes as "a nice complementary line for our direct consumer sales and rental side of Jamco Inc".

"Our customers are always searching for aerial equipment and they want to know that there will be service after the sale from a company that cares for their needs," he adds.

"The JLG line will expand our customer base as well as give our current customers more solutions to their materials handling needs," he says.

Jamco, with full-service locations in North Orlando and across the border in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, has been in the materials handling business since 1986.

The dealership is also the exclusive North and South American distributor of EagleTronic battery chargers and of the Eagle55 Pallet Jack.

Jamal says Jamco's main interests since 1986 have been "on the distribution side", but the business has diversified into selling used forklifts - both wholesale and retail.

"Jamco Orlando Florida does forklift rentals across Central Florida and has enjoyed good success," he adds.

JLG, a division of Osh Kosh, manufactures aerial lifts and access equipment, and has recently been on an expansion drive, last week acquiring Power Towers Ltd., a leading low-level access equipment manufacturer based in Leicester, UK.
