Florida materials handling distributor Jamco has acquired the business activities of Forklift Garage Inc.

Tim Jamal, Jamco vice president, says his company will integrate Forklift Garage's operations and staff into its current location in North Orlando.

"With continued economic growth in Florida, the acquisition is another step forward towards us strengthening our footprint in the Central Florida market. We expect to see an immediate impact in increased rentals and service revenue from this acquisition," he explains.

Craig Smith, principal of Forklift Garage, says during the integration period, his primary responsibility will be to ensure a seamless transition for his staff and customers into the Jamco culture, while continuing to maintain a high level of service.

Terms and conditions of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Established in 1986, Jamco is a distributor for Doosan and Heli forklifts and Skyjack and JLG aerial lifts.

With operations in Ontario, Canada and Florida, USA, Jamco's activities include sales of new and used equipment as well as rentals and equipment service.
