Hyster's new electric empty container handlerHyster has launched its new heavy-duty electric empty container handler, the J6-7XD-EC3/4 series, which is powered by lithium-ion batteries and is designed to withstand rigorous working conditions.
Hyster says the empty container handler delivers performance which is “comparable to an internal combustion engine”, features a electric drivetrain and has a lifting capacity of 6,000kg to 7,000kg with the ability to stack three or four high.
Ricky Hirani, global commercial product leader, big trucks for Hyster says: “The shipping and containerisation industries have a continued focus on sustainability, so the new empty container handler provides a flexible solution for reducing carbon emissions, without compromising on throughput or dependability”.
Hyster adds the 350V system architecture is optimised for both energy efficiency and uptime while the fast and opportunity charging is offered using the Combined Charging System.
Features include a 7-inch integrated performance display, intuitive control layout and an ergonomic operator’s cabin.
