Hangcha's new Japanese siteChinese forklift manufacturer, Hangcha, continues to build its presence on the global market with the opening of Hangcha Japan at a site in Shiba.
The 2,500 sqm warehouse and logistics centre includes a showroom and will also serve as an AGV demonstration area, training centre and after-sales service location.
Hangcha says its Japanese arm will focus on new energy forklifts and smart logistics solutions, while also offering sales and rental of multiple product lines.
Chinese-Japanese trading business, Toko KOSEN, holds a 9.91% stake in Hangcha Japan after paying JPY 33 million (USD224,758) in late 2024.
Hangcha says this investment by Toko KOSEN combines both companies’ strengths in brand, channels, and local resources, and will help to accelerate its growth through Japan, particularly for new energy forklifts and smart logistics solutions.
Li Yuansong, VP of overseas markets for Hangcha Group, says as an advanced hub for manufacturing and logistics, “Japan is crucial to Hangcha’s global strategy”.
“The launch of Hangcha Japan marks a new chapter for local operations,” Yuansong adds. “Hangcha will continue to deepen its presence, bringing leading technologies, products, and solutions to meet Japan’s high standards and culture of excellence.”
Hangcha has been ambitiously expanding its global footprint this year, having opened a Mexican customer service centre in August, a smart logistics hub in the US in July, naming a new Thai partner also in July, as well as launching new sites in Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia.
