Cimcorp buys RMT Robotics
Grimsby, CanadaFinnish materials handling solutions provider Cimcorp Oy has acquired Canada-based RMT Robotics, a manufacturer of robotic materials handling systems.
RMT Robotics founder and president Doug Pickard says the merger will expand RMT's engineering resources and expand its market reach in Europe, Asia, and North and South America.
RMT will continue trading under its current name as a subsidiary of Cimcorp Oy and retain existing management and staff. Pickard, who has acquired a 20% interest in Cimcorp, will join its board of directors. The acquisition value was not disclosed.
FFCSI offers forklift financing

FFCSI president Richard Stebbins says the Materials Handling Equipment Distributors Association has forecast
recovery for this year and it is the right time for the company to add materials handling equipment financing to its core
markets.
"Customers we talk to come to realise that there are better alternatives to paying cash," he says.
UK companies support safety week

Interactive Driving Systems will provide five free user pins for its "Virtual Risk Manager - Forklift Truck" program designed for operator risk assessment, monitoring and improvement at the National Forklift Safety Week on 20-26 September at Warwick University.
Gas supplier Calor will sponsor the Safety Conference held on 22 September. Company representatives will host a seminar on best practice for LPG forklifts and be on hand at the event to advise delegates.
The National Forklift Safety Week was launched in 2008 to raise awareness of the dangers forklift operators face.
