Bolzoni awarded supplier of the year
Podenzano, ItalyThe Bolzoni Group has won the KION Supplier of the Year award for 2012.
Bolzoni CEO Roberto Scotti received the award from KION Group CEO Otmar Hauck during a ceremony held last week in Wiesbaden, Germany.
"To be chosen among 3,500 KION suppliers is a great honour for Bolzoni and represents a further incentive for improving both the manufacturing and quality standards of our products and services," Scotti says.
Speaker at conference for fourth time
Alton, United KingdomEuropean managing director of Interactive Driving Systems Andy Cuerden will speak at the 10th National Lift Truck Safety Conference at Warwick University on 26 September.
Cuerden, who has spoken at the annual conference three times, will present a case study focusing on operator risk assessment, involving McCain Food (GB) Ltd, which won the Safe Site Award in the Fork Lift Truck Association's 2012 Awards.
The conference will cover other topics like current issues, training, loading and unloading areas, speeding and safety products.

TMHE plant celebrates anniversary
Bologna, ItalyToyota Material Handling Europe celebrated the 70th anniversary of its Bologna plant last week.
CESAB Carrelli Elevatori SpA, one of the three TMHE production centres, was founded in Bologna, Italy, in 1942. The 26,000 sqm (279,862 sqft.) site employs 378 people, and designs and manufactures 1.0- 8.5 T electric and internal combustion counterbalance forklifts. The factory also operates a spare parts centre that stocks more than 13,000 separate parts.
The Bologna site is where the Toyota Traigo 24, Toyota Traigo HT and the iF-award winning Toyota Traigo 48 are produced.
