Italian forklift attachment producer Bolzoni Group has secured a majority stake in long-standing supplier Bolzoni Machining S.r.l., as it looks to secure access to manufacturing facilities.
Bolzoni Group, in a statement, says the acquisition is a “response to the growing strategic importance of machining operations” and is aimed at ensuring the “supply of competitive and high-quality products”.
“With a machine fleet consisting of eight horizontal multi-pallet machining centres and three vertical machining centres, operating in multiple shifts under the supervision of specialised operators as well as on unmanned shifts, Bolzoni Machining S.r.l. [will become] the centre of excellence for the machining phase for the Bolzoni Group,” the statement reads.
Bolzoni Group corporate purchasing director Paolo Dallolio says of the acquisition: “Thanks to this operation, we grant our customers a solid continuity of supply with excellent quality, optimising manufacturing processes within the framework of Lean Manufacturing…besides, this investment allows us to keep control on raw material management”.
The Bolzoni Group manufactures forklift attachments, forks and lift tables has manufacturing facilities in Italy, Germany, Finland, China, Brazil and the United States.
