Trelleborg raises prices
Trelleborg, SwedenTrelleborg Wheel Systems will raise prices for its industrial tyres.
From April 2015, prices will increase by 7-10%, depending on the specific market. The increase applies to the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, and all other markets outside of US dollar-denominated markets.
Jean-Paul Mindermann, president of industrial tyres, says: "Industrial tyre prices have remained relatively stable over the past two years, but unfortunately this is no longer sustainable.
"Over the past six months, currencies, including the Euro, have depreciated considerably against the US dollar, resulting in a significant increase in our manufacturing cost base.
We have taken all possible measures to mitigate the impact of this cost increase for our customers, but the continued strength of the US dollar is now obliging us to react."
