Doosan donates to breast cancer research
Incheon, South KoreaW Korea, a fashion magazine published by Doosan, has donated funds raised through the 'Love Your W' event, part of a breast cancer awareness campaign, to the Korea Breast Cancer Foundation.
The magazine raised USD28,000 which it presented to the charity at Doosan Tower in Jung-gu, Seoul. The foundation's Dong-yeong Noh and Doosan Group chairman Yongmaan Park were present.
Over the past seven years, W Korea has raised over USD280,000 to provide 6,300 women with breast cancer screening and 53 women with breast cancer surgery and treatment.
JCB loans fleet to disaster zone
Rocester, United KingdomJCB is deploying a GBP750,000 (USD1.25 million) fleet of machines complete with operators to help families stricken by the UK flood disaster.
Four of JCB's high-speed, high ground clearance Fastrac tractors, equipped with trailers, and two of its iconic backhoe loaders were dispatched to the worst affected areas.
The Fastrac tractors will be deployed in areas where people and livestock need relocation. The JCB backhoes will play a vital role in shoring up flood defences and eventually in clearing debris left by the floodwaters.
JCB has already supplied a 541-70 Loadall telehandler to support farmers who have been left without feed and bedding for livestock evacuated to dry land from flood-hit areas. The machine is being used to load donated forage onto trucks at Sedgemore Cattle Auction in Somerset where the distribution is being coordinated.
ID Systems deploys VMS in China
Woodcliff Lake, NJ, United StatesID Systems Inc has received a USD935,000 order from one of the world's largest consumer packaged goods companies and a longtime ID Systems customer.
The company's PowerFleet wireless vehicle management system (VMS) will be deployed on fleets of industrial trucks at three of the customer's facilities in China.
After implementation, the customer, who is not named, will have deployed the PowerFleet VMS on over 1,300 vehicles in 19 sites worldwide, including in Asia, Africa, Europe, South America and North America. The order was secured and implementation will be overseen by ID Systems' European subsidiary, ID Systems GmbH.
"This will be the first deployment of our patented wireless technology in China, the world's fastest-growing market for industrial vehicles," says ID Systems CEO Jeffrey Jagid.
ID Systems holds over 60 patents related to its wireless solutions, including a patent in China for its core electronic control system and network.
Jungheinrich holds 'Big Event'
