Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks UK has announced the winners of the high-visibility vest giveaway draw that was part of the company's support for the Fork Lift Truck Association's national Safety Week campaign (Forkliftaction.com. News #529).
General manager Mike Jones says the company was overwhelmed by the response to its safety initiative.

New dealers strengthen network
Lutterworth, United Kingdom

Nissan Forklift has appointed Armill Lift Trucks Ltd and On3 Ltd as new dealers.
Armill, which previously supplied Cesab and Clark equipment, will cover the Chelmsford, Colchester, Romford and Southend areas in Essex.
On3, which supplied Doosan equipment, will cover Gloucester and Worcester.
Nissan Forklift's existing partner, Acclaim Handling Ltd, is also its new dealer for the East Midlands, covering Derby, Nottingham, Leicester, Northampton and Coventry.

Manufacturer reports upward trend
Broadway, United Kingdom

Forklift attachment manufacturer Jayline Products has reported a sharp jump in demand for its products, despite the global recession.
"There is no doubt that we have benefited from the greater emphasis that companies are placing on keeping business overheads to a minimum," says sales and marketing director Peter Kimberley.
Sales of Jayline's fork protectors rose "significantly" this year, while orders for its load cushions were up 60%.

Bendi girls strip for charity
Redditch, United Kingdom

Bendi's female staff took time out to pose for a calendar to raise funds and awareness for Breast Cancer Campaign.
Shot around Bendi's Redditch headquarters, the 2012 Bendi Girls Calendar features 10 brave employees in their pink underwear after being inspired by the campaign's recent "Wear It Pink Day". The women hope to raise over GBP5,000 (USD7,758) for the research charity.
They have raised GBP3,000 (USD4,655) so far.

Komatsu doubles assistance
Tokyo, Japan

Komatsu Group says it will provide JPY800 million (USD10.3 million) worth of equipment and services free-of-charge to help rebuild areas devastated by the March earthquake.
These include construction equipment, forklifts, temporary housing units, power generators and other items owned by the group.
This brings the total value of Komatsu's earthquake recovery assistance to JPY1.6 billion (USD20.5 million).
