Just took delivery of 3 new RRE200CC units, replacing 2 older RRE5CC units, and quickly realized I am going to need "TruckCom"TE program to be able to service these machines. They are on warranty for now, but as an in house mechanic I will eventually need this. I am not a dealer.
My big question then.... is where do I purchase the program ? Or can I ??as I am not a dealer?
I am not asking to steal the program, rather legitimately purchase it.

Hi

2:501 = Check sum error, parameters.
How old is the truck?
Hi Roibeard,
The display of toyota reach truck is showing code 2:501.But I can not identify where is the problem.
UncleSi, if you need support re TruckCom contact me. See my profile for details
Good to hear. Well all but the truckcom stonewall.
Thanks for the reply.
Stam: The BT tech guy for Canada finally came and updated software and Code 2:004 has disappeared. I cannot get a copy of TruckCom TE from them, but (touch wood) have not had any need for it. There's a learning curve with these new BT's but the diagnostics are amazing once you catch on to them.
Thanks Unclesi
I got the complaint
Height sensor is damage I am replace this sensor and machine working okk
Thanks once again.

UncleSi, I read through this thread and was wondering how you made out with the software and cables? Did you end up needing it as you thought? Was it made available if meeting a certain criteria? Or as I assume was it dealer only?
I am curious how others are dealing with proprietary diagnostic software some manufacturers have chosen to create.
4:183 "usually" means the long cable running through the mast has an open or short in the circuit. This cable is for side shift and tilt and camera if equipped.
OR the height sensor is faulty - the little sensor wheel driven off a small plastic coated wire cable.
Hello sir
I have a problem with rre200
4:183 is err code what I can do
Please help me.
Hello sir
My reach truck rre200 mcu is faulty I am purchase new card and installed it now showing err (communication err) how I can this mcu programmed with this machine.
I have the repair Manual ! if you want it , send me a Email / salcedohr @g mail com
Dear Friend. let me query. I have a RRE 160 computer failure 2: 501 and have a new MCU to program truk com. you will have manual or information to program the mcu you can give me. thanks
by using Can key make truck configration for the new card
Thank you Forkingabout for ALL the info.
I greatly appreciate it !!
I will now go "hat in hand" to the dealer and see if they will let me in.
Maybe after a year of warranty, getting things set-up, etc., , we'll find that we don't need TruckCom , and the Can Key will suffice.
But , anyway you've cleared up alot of my questions, and more !!
Once again, thanks !!
Truck Com is the BT / Toyota software.
BT / Toyota have in the past allowed certain customer's technician's to have a licenced copy & the connector leads.
Depending on the truck in question, the basic Truck Com functions are:
Download software update's to the electronic unit's.
Copy parameter's so you can deploy them across a fleet of the same spec truck.
Generate a truck report for BT technical service's to view.
Update hour meter's.
Change factory parameter's ( Can key cant do this! )
Erase the error log.
Truck Com has other diagnostic function's as well but on a RRE you can get these up on the CID display with the can key.
Also your lowering parameter 342 need's the RRE to be switched OFF else it wont let you change it.
You would need to ask your BT / Toyota dealer for Truck Com & licence key.
Truck Com, can key & RRE training, ask your BT / Toyota dealer nicely.
So, my friend... you've been most helpful, but getting back to my original question..... is TruckCom TE available to dealers only ??
Can you explain exactly what "TruckCom TE" is ?? I'm assuming it's a licensed BT program ??? exclusive to BT ?? or do other manufacturers use it also ??
The quick connectors work fine when you follow the correct sequence.
There are some easy to follow diagrams plus text instructions in the service manual.
I have seen a few example's of people not trained on them assembling them incorrectly, always makes a nice mess on the floor.
All very good points !
I been practicing coupling and uncoupling the shipping plugs so as I can get the sequence nailed down. Printed off a "how-to" page from the coupler manufacturer, also.
