glp040 sounds like the converter is shot.If it wont climb an incline or boggs down real bad accellerating in fwd or rvs.

I have found this many times with descent converter pressure readings. Torque converter pressure is the only reading in a tranny that I don't trust what the reading says. Remanned converters are to inexpensive today to mess around with it.

I have seen to many people including myself chase their tails on a converter reading being ok and the converter is not.

whats after glp040... af totally different transmission. rf/tf are the same. if its af clutch packs burn out. smell your trans oil for burning or just could be too low.

GLP040
Would these readings apply? I have this problem.good firm reaction, F&R but no power to walk over a piece of 2 by 4 wood at stand still. Seems to be a pressure issue.

Thanks

port1 140>170 psi (pump pressure. next to dipstick
port 2 105>125 psi (forwrd clutch. front of control valve next to dump spool)
port 3 105>125 psi ( rev clutch. down below throttle pedal off the control valve.rear of two ports.
port 4 105>125 psi (torque conv pressure. just across from port 1. behind filter
port 5 15>25 psi ( lube pressure. next to port 3 under throttle pedal
port 6 variable ( modulater pressure. below rear solenoid. varys on position of dump/inching spool

hope this helps mate but still reckon that circlip has come out. quite common problem. mast off job. easiest way is to drag transmission out the front leaving engine sitting. with practice you can have transmission on the floor in 2 hours. no need to strip brake hubs off or pull half shafts.if you get stuck just shou back

hello danny. i can tell you from previous experience on this transmission that you probably have a blown out clutch pack. large circlips tend to fly out. i can get you the setting as they same as hyster. does the oil stink of burning ??

The word "okay" (or its abbreviation "OK") originated as a humorous misspelling. In the 1830s, a fad in Boston involved using abbreviations of intentionally misspelled phrases. "OK" stood for "oll korrect," a playful mispronunciation of "all correct".
