Hello,
As a new member in your forum, I would like to thank you the people that share their knowledge and help other.
My Question is very simple. I want to replace the transmission fluid on my forklift. I bought it used and i'm trying to service it.
Forklift is running great, but a service is a must...
Problem: I found 3 filling/drainning holes. I guess (in the pic) that red circles are for differencial, and yellow for gearbox. I can't find a drainning hole for gearbox...

PS: anyone knows the capacity for the differencial and gearbox?

I have a 2FG10 that needs clutch and brake work, where do you guys get parts? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again! Will have a look at your and try it.
The water is probably running down the stick shifter and getting in the transmission. You could buy a stick shifter rubber boot and make sure it is a tight fit on the shifter and it will act like an umbrella. Take the axle out and there should be a seal in the housing that's easy to change.
After many many years i come back to my old post.
I have found draining plug and filling plug. It is the same, and differential and gearbox are together. Total quantity of oil is about 10.5-11 litres
And mrfixit, you were correct that it was full of water.
My new question is how can I prevent water from getting inside the gearbox?
Forklift is kept outside.
Also I did a brake job. And i might damage one seal from axle. Is this easy to replace? Where is located?
By looking at your picture, the bottom red one is the differenial drain. The next one up is the fill and proper level. If oil is coming out of the top yellow one, and by the looks of the oil, you have got water in there. This is a standard transmission, right? Pull the bottom plug and drain it. How much comes out?
In simple words, I'm looking the draining and refilling plug for gearbox.
Mrfixit, I can't find any drain plug from underneath the gearbox. Only one in the differencial. It's located in the center, at bottom of the differecial and just behind the mast.
PS: the plug with red circle if opened , oils come out.
PSs: it there any chance that the plug is under the clutch cover?
The drain for the gearcase will be back farther under the truck. Like the motor oil drain but about a foot more forward. The level plug will be just above that on the side of the transmission.
