Discussion:
H20E 1966 couple questions.....

I have a couple questions about a 1966 H20E 3 wheeler with a Y112 engine.

1. On the floor board, right side, there is a T handle pull cable.
It is associated with the brake system.....
What does it do and how does it work??

2. The hydraulic filter cartridge is Hyster P/N 236090 and
the gasket is 236088.

Can anyone cross the Hyster numbers to a more common brand of replacement cartridge number?
Baldwin? Purolator? Fram?

Thank You!

Yes, that's exactly how it works.
It was awkward when I last tried to reconnect the chain with the FL tipped up on a steep angle with the engine idling in gear to keep the chain as slack as possible...... HA!
It was not slack enough, I couldn't re-connect it but I want to and I need the parking brake functioning.
Maybe that T handle is the key to success with this problem.

I can't remember exactly how that worked. Hydraulic pressure was used. Starting it may cause the chain to get slack and then it goes tight when shut off.

edit, I guess you have to put it in drive too to get the chain slack. The T handle should do it.

Thank you,

There is a small chain under the unit that is supposed to connect to the park brake linkage. It is unhooked.
I am trying to figure out how to get that chain slack enough to re-connect it. Perhaps that handle is the key

That has a automatic parking brake that comes on when the machine is in "park" or not running. If you need to move it, and it won't start, the T handle releases the brake.

Fact of the week
The dot-com bubble, a period of large and rapid investments in internet-based companies, peaked in 2000 and saw the Nasdaq Composite index rise by 579%. Then the bubble imploded. As the value of tech stocks plummeted, cash-strapped internet start-ups became worthless and collapsed.
